Richard Lane, Sr is the founder of our business and is responsible for the operation of our aviation detailing service. In addition, Sr. takes our show/vendor booth on the road at select shows, rallies, and air shows. Look for our booth with the big RLM/AV bow flags at your next air show! Richard, Sr works mostly at the hangar and supervises all detailing work on aircraft.
Richard, Sr is a licensed pilot (having learned to fly in 1972) with many
hours in single engine high wing, low wing and STOL high performance aircraft including
tail wheels.
Richard, Sr founded our business in 1999 following a long career (24 years) as a
municipal police officer with training and duty assignments in all aspects of
law enforcement. Career highlights include the FBI
National Academy (149th session), 2 years as motor patrol officer, 5 years
K-9 officer, 14 years uniform division watch commander, 3 years narcotics
division commander, 3 years underwater crime scene specialist. Much specialized duties were in addition to
regular duty assignments. Sr's last official duty was that of
investigator and administrative officer for the office of Chief of Police.
Richard Lane, Jr (Rich) joined the
United States Marine Corps immediately after graduating high school
and served over 4 years in 1st BTN, 8th Marines-2nd Marine Division at
Camp Lejeune, NC. Rich was was a scout/sniper and has many
decorations for marksmanship and performance. Having served our
country and the Marine Corps, Rich returned home to join our family business. We are proud of Rich's service and
contribution to the security of our country. We are very happy he
decided to return home to further the success of the family business.
Richard Lane, Jr serves as our office & operations manager. He greets our customers, handles telephone calls, answers emails, and conducts sales business locally. He completes all our daily billing and shipping documents which is no easy task! In addition, he works many hours in our hangar to help care for our aviation customer's aircraft. Rich is easy going, a pleasure to deal with and is very knowledgeable in both the motorcycle industry and aviation community. His specialty is brightwork for our aviation department. If you need help from customer service, ask for Rich. He knows how to solve problems quickly!
